Beyond the Veteran Base: update suppression dreams

While planning the slime farm, kira proposed trying update suppression before winding up the server.

Event ASMP S1 24 Jul 2021

While planning the slime farm on 24 July 2021, kira suggested they “try update supression before we wind up this server”. 1 He described it as overloading the block update engine so far that it lags behind the server’s ticks 2, and pointed to DocM doing it on Hermitcraft. 3 prop was enthusiastic about a diamond block portal. 4 They agreed the farm itself should be a traditional design rather than portal-based.
