On 27 October 2026 prop pitched kira an idea: “you should create a Axolotl ForeverWorld server man” 1. It was, in effect, The Timecapsule Server renamed: a mostly vanilla world with Hermitcraft-style quality-of-life and optimisation mods. He called it “the only true minecraft exeperience we will end up enjoying” 2, a reference to the fond memories everyone had of the original Axolotl world.
kira agreed, and revealed a problem of his own. The filesystem on his “axolotl” host had failed again, its SSD apparently out of spare cells after four years non-stop, so he was going to decommission it (“filesystem failed again” 3). The solution was to move Minecraft to an online server host: “yeah I’m getting an online server” 4.
Four days later the restored Season 1 world launched, as described in The Return: Season 1 Restored. GrimWatch is also listed among those involved.
